Finding Funding for Reader's Theater

Here is a "quick list" of sources that typically fund our materials for schools and teachers.

Title One (our materials are very popular and approved under this grant)

Professional Development Grants (books included with

PD)

  ESL Grants

  Special Education Grants

21st Century Community Learning Centers Grant (Playbooks® meet Design Requirement A)

Your PTA (PTA buys the materials and the students perform their favorite Playbook® for parents.)

 Community Partners

We have also found the best place for up-to-date information on available grants is at Grant Wrangler. We recommend you enroll for upates on their site below.

You can also put in a wish list for reader's theater materials at Donor's Choose, an online charity connecting donors with classrooms in need.

DonorsChoose.org - Teachers ask. You choose. Students learn.

Also ask your community partners and local businesses!

Most schools have community or business partners that help them fund needs ranging from erasers to computers. These organizations or local foundations are eager to support literacy and reading and may take their support one step further if asked directly by a teacher with passion for reading. Check with your principal to obtain a list of your school’s partners.

Offer to invite your potential donor to your reader's theater performance and invite the local paper, too, to capture your donor's picture for the news. Also offer to provide your donor with the results of your students' growth in reading skills by employing a simple pre- and post- assessment (module provided by Playbooks, just call us for details).
