Grant Narratives That Can Help you Get Money for Reader's Theater (see documents to download below)
We hear all the time how many sites want to purchase reader's theater but don't have the funds after all the other expenses have been allocated. The solution is to include reader's theater in your grant application.
For After School Programs and 21st Century Community Learning Center Grants
The following links provide a narrative document that fairly parallels and supports the requirements of the 21st CCLC application with respect to reader's theater as a reading enrichment activity (Design Requirement A). We've included the document in Microsoft Word so that you can easily copy and paste any verbiage that is helpful to your application. It's also included in Acrobat PDF format.

The narrative document might also be helpful to you now in justifying/supporting reader's theater materials during the current year. Please feel free to share the document with any grantees that you may feel would benefit. The same narrative supports readers theater in any academic setting. We hope you find this document useful and are always interested in hearing feedback, so please feel free to email us with any comments you may have.

Below is a link to the same grant narrative structured for Title One programs.
